aleksiah - Cry About It:
Batsh*t: Kinda a generic indie pop song to me, I can't lie. Not sure I was fully there for the vocal effects. 6/10
Keep My Cool: Okay Chloe Qisha. Calm down. I do like this though, which makes sense. It's a fun, good song! 7/10
Cold: Another enjoyable song, nothing special but it's a fun song. Good production and vocals. 7/10
The Hit: This gives me kinda CATTY vibes in places. It reminds me somewhat of one of her songs, maybe Healing Out Of Spite? So I also like this song quite a lot. Great electronic production and great vocals. 8/10
Clothes Off: I quite like this song too! Some good production here. Very catchy song. I could definitely repeat this song a lot. 8/10
Overall Verdict: This was a solid indie pop EP. She's definitely an artist I'm going to keep an eye on in future because I see really strong potential here. One song was a bit by the numbers indie pop but that's forgivable. Some of the others are stunning songs. Definitely saw some Chloe Qisha and CATTY in some of the tracks which makes sense. I like both of those artists, so it makes sense that I liked this project too.
Babymorocco - Amour: The Jean Paul Deluxe:
Jean Paul: This is fun so far! I like the vocals and the production. Good song. I do like kinda chopped vocals. It's very repetitive but I don't care, it's FUN. Some super fun production here! 7/10
The Boys & The Girls: This song wasn't quite as good for me. There's some ehhh parts here. Still a decent song though. 6/10
PartyDisgusting (feat. MMMouth): Unfortunately this sounded kinda bad to me. It's kinda 'experimental' in a bad way. Didn't like the production at all. Bit too slow for me as well. Feature is fine but the song is...eh. 5/10
The Band (feat. EQ): Did not enjoy this. Another kinda flop song. They're a lot more low energy than I expected but maybe the deluxe is more that vibe? Another miss for me though. Feature was fine. Just didn't enjoy this. Oh, the production got more interesting towards the end. Why couldn't the whole song have been more that vibe? 5/10
Overall Verdict: Unfortunately this was a miss for me. It was a lot more chill and laid back than I wanted. I want more bops! Chiller songs can be good but these ones were not for me. Jean Paul was a good song though and at least that one I will return to. Really did like the standard album though, I recommend trying it out.
Charlotte OC - Seriously Love, Go Home:
God, We Tried: Insert joke about making good music here. I'm not fully here for this. It leans into the annoying category for me. Still kinda catchy though, even though it's also annoying. 6/10
Romeo: Getting strong country vibes from this one. It's decent! Definitely a song I'm enjoying. 7/10
The Letter: More acoustic sounding to me, or slower at least. Not here as much for this song. Sounds fine though, vocals are pleasant and so is the song. Didn't really like the end of the song with those vocals, I can't lie. Not me saying the vocals are pleasant then immediately contradicting myself. 6/10
Cider and Black: Bit of a shift here. It's more...chilled. Almost more of a jazz like vibe. It's pleasant but not really my favourite. 6/10
Strange Influence: Another chiller song but it has some interesting production. I enjoyed that more than the vocals. They're not bad or anything but...eh. The production is definitely the better part of this. Grew on me towards the end when it popped off a bit more. 6/10
Overall Verdict: A chilled EP that was pleasant to listen to but one that I won't really be returning to. Nothing much stuck out to me really. Chilled, country and maybe jazz type influences. It's fine. It's good enough, but nothing special.
Grace Davies - The Wrong Side of 25:
Welcome To The Wrong Side: Can't relate girl I'm still 25. I'm not on any side, I'm in the middle. Interesting piano start. It's...alright. Oh, this is an intro track, that's fun. I like the buildup. Oh, that's a fun grand intro. I like it as an intro track.
Youngest That I'll Ever Be: Okay we're getting a bit too real here girl. Age is made up, we're not aging. The piano is fine. I was not expecting the song to switch up in that way. I'm here for it though. You can hear the passion. I liked the second verse and the production there, pretty good stuff. 7/10
Super Love Me: Don't like the start of this with the layered vocals. Oh, we're going kinda dance/boppy here, okay. Definitely not my favourite production wise sadly. Decent voice still though. It grew on me throughout the song. 7/10
Do Or Die: Another bop, another good song. I really like the chorus again. It's quite the bop. Great stuffff. 8/10
Hotel Delilah: Another bop, another good song. I actually really am enjoying this album. I feel like it could be a really good one overall. 8/10
Lonely Long Enough: It's a chiller song, and it's fine, but it's definitely not as good. Oh, nevermind, she brought it back. Of course she did. A lot better. 7/10
A Wonderful, Boring, Normal Life: It's a piano start. Love the twinkles too. I feel like this is one I do like a bit less but it's still good. Oh, yet again, it switched up. Okay. You win. You WIN. Are you happy now? Good song. 7/10
Butterflies: This has to be an actual acoustic slow song and not another switchup right. It has to be. Okay, it is, and it's cute. It's also less my vibe unfortunately. 6/10
Another Night: Another good song. Album definitely has overstayed its welcome though. It did not need to be quite this long. Maybe it's because I know how much is still left. Like I said, good song though. 7/10
Nothing's Forever, Baby: Oh, it's an interlude. That's fun. It does sound good. Not really sure what purpose it's serving really, but it does sound good. Some pretty nice sounds here. Also, wrong. My music takes are forever.
Look How You've Grown: Was about to write "oh it's a bit of a flop at the start" but I should know better at this point. Another good song. 7/10
MDkE: Not the mansplaining. Kill that guy! A bit weird but you know what, I'm here for it. Another fun song. Some really fun lyrics here. Randomly going faster, okay. This album is full of good surprises. The random school kids at the end ahahahahahahahahah. I'm obsessed. 8/10
I Hope I Never Live To Love Again: Another chiller and slower song. I think it works well here. Sounds good. Not a favourite of mine but it's still pretty good. 7/10
It's Mean When You Don't Mean It: I'm kinda living for some of these lyrics. It's trashy but also fun and great. Another good song. Wasn't expecting the switchup again. 7/10
25: Nice transition into this ending song. It's not just going to stay a piano song is it? Or maybe it is. I could see that. Oh, and it did. Who's gagged? I like it though as ever. Not the fake out ending...ahaha, I'm kinda obsessed. 7/10
Overall Verdict: My number 1 criticism is that the album did not need to be as long as it was. 53 minutes is kinda crazy. However, it was good the whole way through. There were no major flops. The consistent level was good songs, and I enjoyed listening to it a lot. There were some songs that excelled a bit more, and were my standouts, but overall this was a good album. I really liked the switchups that happened, the interesting production, the goofy yet serious lyrics. It was boppy and fun!
Jessica Winter - My First Album:
Nirvana: This is not really what I expected but the acoustic vibe is not really for me. The production sounds in the background though...intriguing. Feels like it could go somewhere. Oh, finally, it went somewhere. I was waiting for that. It was bland and boring until that point. I'm not sure I was majorly feeling it still but it did improve. Feels like it's not quite there for me somehow. 6/10
L.O.V.E.: This feels more interesting. I feel like I've heard this production before though? Maybe it's just that I've heard this song before. I'm not sure I'm feeling Jessica's vocals majorly? I feel like that's the main thing dragging it down for me. Because I definitely like the production, it's a fun chiller bop. Some parts are definitely quite bland too. 6/10
Feels Good (For Tonight): I'm kinda feeling a bit of PinkPantheress here I can't lie. The production is fun. That chorus is great as well. I'm feeling her voice here more too. Another chiller bop but this one works a lot better for me. 8/10
Aftersun: Another fun bop! These are fun dance tracks. I'm not as much of a fan of this one as the last one but it's still good. This is a good lane for Jessica to be in. It's definitely reminding me of PinkPantheress again. Maybe it's the vocal effects? 7/10
Big Star: Oh, this is a vibe shift. I'm here for it. Some fun production here with the synths. I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of the chorus though, the verses are stronger to me. The slower bits were definitely meh and dragged it down. But the other parts, great stuff. 7/10
Worst Person In The World: ...is Katy Perry. Just kidding. But she's bad. Unfortunately this was mostly annoying at the start. Oh, okay, now it's got a beat. Maybe it's something? The beat improved it but the vocals are still annoying me. Arghhh, the production is winning me over even more now. I feel like the production is great but the vocals really are the song's downfall. Maybe because of how whiny or childlike they sound in some places. Still a great song though. 7/10
I See The Robin: Another meh more acoustic leaning track at the start but it improves. Like the production and the general sound otherwise. I really feel like with different vocals I'd like this project a lot more than I do. I did enjoy this a fair bit still though. It's just that I could have enjoyed it more! Got more catchy towards the end for me. 7/10
All I Ever Really Wanted: I really like the production on this song and the vocals work better for me on this song for me. Another favourite of mine I fear. The chorus is greattttt. 8/10
Wannabe: We don't need these acoustic girl moments. Definitely a song I'm less here for. I don't think this chiller acoustic type vibe fits her majorly honestly. Not that it was bad though, it was a pleasant listen. Just...could be better. Weird outro. 6/10
Just Like That: It's about this time I'm thinking this album is actually a bit too long. I feel like albums can be longer but sometimes they do feel like they're dragging on and don't didn't need quite so many songs. Like this one. Also, kinda not feeling this song as much too. I feel like the vocals are better here for me but I don't like the production as much. Cute outro. 6/10
Got Something Good: Oh, we're going kinda more rock or heavy here. Why not? I'm here for it. I do think it's the production carrying the song again for me though as the vocals do feel a bit drowned out by it. Parts of it still meh and drag it down though. Could have been even better! 7/10
Only Lonely: Not feeling the more acoustic stuff but there's hints of interesting production shining through. It could go quite well, we'll see. Definitely got better again but not the best song. 6/10
To Know Her: A Mandatory Ballad type song to finish, and while I appreciate it as an ending song, it's also not the best still. Got more interesting but the production still doesn't quite hit for me. 6/10
Overall Verdict: This was an inconsistent album for me. Some parts were stunning, other parts not so much (though they weren't really bad either!). I think it's a very solid debut album but it could have been better. The vocals in a lot of the songs were just not working for me. The more acoustic slower songs didn't really work for me either and I don't think it's where Jessica shines. It's also an album that was too long and could have done with a bit of cutting. On the bright side, there are some really boppy songs on here with better vocals and interesting production. Thankfully, the album landed on the good side more often than not. With my criticisms addressed, I feel like the next project could turn out to be one of my favourites of the year. This album however was good but not great.
Kesha - . (...):
TRASHMAN.: Not sure I'm totally feeling this. The sparse production of this isn't really working for me. I just really do not like its general vibe. I can see why it was relegated to the deluxe album, that's for sure. It's like YIPPEE-KI-YAY but somehow worse. We do not want more of this sound! 4/10
BOY CRAZY. (feat. JADE): This is a hit so it literally can't be bad. I like the change to "JADE is boy crazy". Also, am I crazy or does this have slightly different production at the start? If that is the case, I'm here for it. It's a pretty good song in the Kesha parts! So let's see how JADE is. I like JADE's solo parts. Works quite well in the song. I do think I prefer the original version still (the different production parts are not quite as good), but this is definitely a great feature and addition. Always good to see JADE in more songs, she sounds great! 8/10
ATTENTION! (feat. Slayyyter & Rose Gray): I saw a lot of people asking why this wasn't on the main album and honestly, can somewhat relate. It's a greattt song. Kesha's part I still think is the best part for me. That part is so catchy. That chorus is killer as well. I think compared to my first listen I like Slayyyter's part a lot more. She fits the song really well. Not Rose Gray predicting her rise. I already knew about you! Honestly, she also works well here, but I think she's my least favourite part. Still, a truly fantastic song! I really think I underrated this song on my original listen. She's a HIT! 9/10
YIPPEE-KI-YAY. (feat. T-Pain): Well, I managed to avoid this when it was released. Oh, it has a different start. That's weird. I don't like it. Not sure I like the different production? It feels wrong to me. I like it when it is quite similar to the original, but uh...was NOT feeling the T-Pain feature at all. It works way better as a solo song for me. I didn't like his solo part or him in the background. It still features a lot of the catchy parts of the solo version though. 6/10
DELUSIONAL. (Edit): Uhm, what's the difference here? Am I stupid? Very likely. It sounds quite similar to me. Maybe it's slightly different? Actually I think I can hear it now. I don't really know if I like it more or less than the album version? It's hard to say. It's good like the original. Maybe it's about equivalent for me? 7/10
YIPPEE-KI-YAY. (feat. T-Pain) [A.G. Cook Remix]: I don't usually include remixes but if it's A.G. Cook who am I to argue? Oh, this could be the best version yet, we'll see. Or not. Well, I do like it but I do prefer the original. It's definitely a good remix though. Makes T-Pain more tolerable on the song regardless. 7/10
Overall Verdict: I think this was a decent deluxe version of the album. I wish there were a few more original songs or remixes rather than a ton of remixes, but still. BOY CRAZY featuring JADE and ATTENTION! were definitely the highlights. Need more bops like that! TRASHMAN. was just not good at all. The other alternative versions were not as good as the originals. DELUSIONAL edit was fine though.
Persia Holder - I Didn't Think You'd Hear This:
Don't Wanna Take It Slow: Okay, piano, this EP may not really be my vibe, we'll see. I think I like her voice, for the most part. But then I kinda think it doesn't totally work with this piano? There's something a bit off or wrong with this song for me. The pieces of it don't quite work together. Maybe it is her vocals that are the main problem... 4/10
Echo: At the start I was feeling the same, but overall I think this song works MUCH MUCH better with Persia's voice and the vocals sound a LOT better for me. The production works a lot better with the vocals and I prefer it. 7/10
Baggage: Another piano, uh oh. Well, it didn't sound as bad as the first track, but I did find it a bit bland and uninspiring. It's just another piano track to me. I can like them, but this one was just boring to me sadly. 5/10
Never Really There: Unfortunately this was another miss for me. It doesn't sound bad but it was another bland song. There's just nothing about it that stands out to me. It feels like a bit of a generic alt pop song with a generic alt pop singer. 5/10
Now Or Never: Voice, decent. Song, not the best but decent enough. It has a bit more to it. Some good vocals and it has a bit more going on for it so it doesn't feel like another bland piano track. 6/10
Overall Verdict: I think this was mostly a miss for me. I always love discovering new artists, but sometimes they just don't hit! I think thankfully the rest of the EP was better than the first song, but a lot of it was still bland and mediocre to me. There's definitely rays of talent here though, especially her voice, and also when there's life to the production and it doesn't feel a bit like Another Piano Ballad TM. There's nothing wrong with piano ballads, I just thought that some of them on here were a bit soulless! Echo was definitely my favourite song and where I want her music to go more in future, but we'll see!
TWICE - THIS IS FOR:
FOUR: This was an enjoyable intro. Some fun production here. Not really here as much for the vocals, especially the shouty part. Still, production is great and FUNNN. Good song. 7/10
THIS IS FOR: The group vocals are BAD. Like they do not sound good together. Solo vocals are thankfully generally better, so I can look past it. A lot of this is catchy. Good song overall. Fun bop! 7/10
OPTIONS: Another chill and fun bop. I like the twinkle type production in the background. Very cool! 7/10
MARS: Another fun boppy song. Enjoyed listening to it. Chorus is especially fun. 7/10
RIGHT HAND GIRL: Didn't enjoy this quite as much but it was still an enjoyable listen. 6/10
PEACH GELATO: This album isn't really giving me much to say, I'm just enjoying listening to it. Good, fun song. 7/10
HI HELLO: Another fun and enjoyable song. The "HELLO HI" chorus is really fun. Infectious even. Bop! 7/10
BATTITUDE (NAYEON, JEONGYEON, MOMO, MINA): A chiller bop but still very much an enjoyable bop. It feels closer to a talking style singing or a rap but it's still good. Abrupt ending though. 7/10
DAT AHH DAT OOH (SANA, JIHYO, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG, TZUYU): I think the problem I'm starting to have is that I don't want this project to last much longer, even though I like it. I feel like I've heard enough of this general sound. It's good of course. But still. 7/10
LET LOVE GO (JEONGYEON, MOMO, SANA, TZUYU): Another cute bop. Good to listen to. 7/10
G.O.A.T. (MINA, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG): More of a chill bop but still good to listen to. Me when I repeat myself repeatedly. Look, it's good, okay. 7/10
TALK (NAYEON, JIHYO): And same here. Pleasant chiller listen. Good voices, good production. 7/10
SEESAW: And same here. I think the vocals here are good. Another chiller song. Enjoyed it. 7/10
HEARTBREAK AVENUE: Starts as a chiller song but I do like that chorus, I do have to say. It's pretty good. Good end to the album. 7/10
Overall Verdict: I really did not have much to say about this album at all. It was a good listen all the way through. I think the main problem it suffers from is that it goes on for a bit too long for me, and sounds a bit too similar throughout. And the group vocals just do not sound good for me. But with individual members singing, it's great. A lot of good bops and chiller songs with good vocals. It's kinda an album that didn't inspire much thought in me but I did enjoy listening to it. It is good though, if a bit long (or maybe repetitive?).
Wet Leg - moisturizer:
CPR: Kinda groovy! Is it love or suicide? Well, good question. You know what, I actually like this. At least a bit anyway. I like the production noises in the background in the chorus. And I do like the groove with the vocals. Some parts are maybe a bit too repetitive though... 6/10
liquidize: If this carries on this could be a Wet Leg album I don't hate and that surprises me! I like the general sound here a fair amount too. It has reasonably catchy production and I like the vocals with it. There's just enough that annoys me though... 6/10
catch these fists: Oh, a bop! Why not? I'll catch these fists. I feel like the problem I have with these songs I have so far is there's quite catchy parts but I think the production and the vocals are just annoying enough for me to not like it more... Some of the more talking sparse bits, meh. 6/10
davina mccall: The davina related lyrics are cute! Unfortunately the same as before applies. It has some catchy elements but it's also annoying to me at the same time. It's so weird. 6/10
jennifer's body: Hmm, that was kinda fun. Felt like a transition. It's a lowkey bop again. Probably my favourite song so far. It has less of the annoyingness for me. 7/10
mangetout: I think I like this a bit more as well. It sounds less annoying to me. I wish I could pinpoint exactly what makes it less annoying compared to the other songs. A difference in production or vocals? Anyway, good song. The sparser parts are a bit mediocre sometimes though. 7/10
pond song: Back to being annoying unfortunately. It was going so well! Okay, some of the production here is actually fantastic. I could almost do without the vocals here. Make it an instrumental song. They're dragging it down. 6/10
pokemon: Piplup for life! Love that cute penguin like best pokemon for real. Sinnoh best region as well. Loved Pearl/Diamond/Platinum. Wait, there's a song playing? Wasn't the biggest fan of the verses but the chorus is actually pretty good. Enough of it is annoying still...ugh... 6/10
pillow talk: Some more interesting production here for me but unfortunately, yet again, the same applies. There's still parts of the song annoying me. 6/10
don't speak: I got extra annoyed by this song for some reason. And I can barely comprehend the lyrics in parts of this. Maybe it's an Intentional Choice TM but it's one that I don't like. I am not here for this. 5/10
11: 21: Slower song, bland, boring. Not here for it. And still annoying. Like, help me. I'm done here. 5/10
u and me at home: Feel like this album has gone on a bit too long for me at this point. And I feel like I don't even need to say anything because this song is the same. Good parts. Also annoying in parts. 6/10
Overall Verdict: Wet Leg really does seem like the definition of an artist that is not for me. The voices of Wet Leg really do grate on me, and I think bring the project down. There's definitely some interesting production here, but some of it is also more bland, boring and annoying. I fear Wet Leg just isn't an artist I'm ever going to connect with fully. I can see why others like them, but they are not for me.
Singles:
ADÉLA - DeathByDevotion: I better like this. Not my favourite but I do like it. I think it's the vocals preventing me from liking it more. The switchup towards the end was super fun, and I wish most of the track was a bit more like that. 7/10
Amber Mark - Sweet Serotonin: This could be mediocre for me. I'm not really a fan of this so far. Production is a bit boring, same for the vocals. It's a song that does nothing for me. 5/10
Anna of the North - Give Me Your Love Back: Chill track, it's decent enough. Chorus is also decent. Not my favourite but pleasant to listen to. 6/10
Au/Ra - CRACK!: Oh, this could be good. Good electronic production here. I'm basic but I enjoyed this. I think the vocals are maybe a bit too 'soft' for this song if that makes sense? But otherwise, good stuff. It especially hits in that chorus when it pops off. 7/10
BLACKPINK - JUMP: Hopefully this makes me JUMP! Oh, this sounds fun. It was a fun and cute bop. Fun production. Fun everything. 7/10
Conan Gray - Vodka Cranberry: Conan sounds pretty good here. Might be a Conan song I like. Not feeling the "straAaANgeEeE" part. Chorus is less good for me but it's fine. Don't like the layered vocals. It was better in the verses for me. Parts of the song also sound a bit clunky to me. Not bad but also not great, 6/10
Craig David & JoJo - In It With You: Only doing this for JoJo (the non Siwa variety). Craig David has a good voice though. Nice chill song. Not really sure I'm feeling JoJo singing with him though, I don't think she sounds as good. She would probably sound better by herself. Decent song overall, though I think it would have been better as a solo song. 6/10
Danny L Harle & PinkPantheress - Starlight: Danny can never make a bad song so he better not fail me now. Not totally feeling it at the start. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Ehhh, not totally feeling this sadly. It's a bit of a miss for me. PinkPantheress sounds good as ever but the production isn't totally hitting for me. It's just a bit too...subdued. And towards the end it got better, sigh...how many times do I say that. 6/10
Dasha - Oh, Anna!: Pretty good country song. Good production, good vocals. Just good. I actually really enjoyed this song. 8/10
Delaney Jane - Side Eye: Me looking at JoJo Siwa. Oh, this is a fun bop. I liked the vocal chopping. It's just a cute little bop. 7/10
FLO & KAYTRANADA - The Mood: FLO can't make a bad song, prove me wrong. Another chilled bop, and great song. 7/10
Frankie Grande & Ariana Grande - Hotel Rock Bottom (Remix): Well, poor start. Annoying production. Oh, that is not what I expected at all. His voice. Okay. I mean, it's okay. Ariana sounds SO much better. Like she really ended him with ease. Like, it's embarrassing to be shown up on your own song like that. They don't sound too amazing together. Got a bit more fun towards the end though I suppose. Ariana made this a higher score than it otherwise deserves. Didn't really need the talking at the end. 6/10
GRACEY - Steep: Not too much to this song but it works well. It's still catchy with that clap like production. I do like the vocals here too. 7/10
Jessie Murph - Bad As the Rest: I fear I'm not going to like this with how it sounds. But we'll see. Got a bit better in the chorus thankfully. But still not a fantastic song. 6/10
JoJo Siwa - Bette Davis Eyes: Oh I've been WAITING for this. Let's see how it is. Honestly, not too bad at the start. She might actually be able to sing for once, at least a bit. The "precocious"...yikes. Some of those words...they sound bad. I don't care if it's for EfFEcT. Honestly, not as bad as I thought it would be though. It overall sounded decent. Chorus not quite as good though. 6/10
Leah Cleaver - Last Time: Hmm, could be a miss for me. Not a major fan of Leah's voice here. Oh, yikesss, that chorus is BADDD. Help. It pains me. The production is bad too, as well as Leah's voice. 3/10
Leah Kate - Dead Sexy Body: Leah Kate don't make terrible music challenge (impossible). Never mind Sabrina, I forgive you, you're way better than this. This is AWFUL. I'd rather die than listen to this again honestly. Just a big mess. Sounds terrible. 2/10
Maddie Zahm - Babygirl: Well, I'm not crying at One Direction concerts. No thanks. A cute little acoustic number so far -- oh god and a Harry Styles mention. Ewwww. "He's so babygirl"...yuck. This song, I actually hate it. The lyrical content is heavily dragging it down to me. We can celebrate men who don't subscribe to toxic gender norms without making...this. The sad thing is a lot of the production is catchy. But...ew. 4/10
Maren Morris - Welcome To The End: This feels a bit different. I'm not feeling it so far though. Could be building into something good though. Yeah, it was a bit mediocre for me, even when it built up a bit. Not really feeling much from it at all. At least it didn't last long! 5/10
Miriana Conte - Għajjejt (i8): Was actually from last week but I got severely pestered to add this to the list (love you really). And you know what, what a good recommendation because it's a good song. BOP alert! Serving yet again. Chorus is gooood. 7/10
Natalie Jane - girls will b girls: With the title, I was expecting it to be a good feminist callout song of the whole "boys will be boys" thing. And it kinda...isn't, for the most part. Not that it has to be. It's a bit...generic honestly. 6/10
Nieve Ella - Good Grace: Oh, this could be really good or bad. It's more likely to be good with that production. Good song. It's not my favourite type of high energy song - the more 'rocky' type of shouting energy. But I still like it. 7/10
Olivia Dean - Lady Lady: Great voice. Feeling a bit of RAYE here. Great song. It's chill and sounds fantastic. 8/10
Rizzle Kicks (feat. Rachel Chinouriri) - Follow Excitement!: Rachel is the only reason Rizzle Kicks will ever appear on this blog. I mean, honestly, this isn't too bad though. Sounds good. They both sound good honestly. Good collab that worked together. And honestly, good song, and I enjoyed it. Surprise! 7/10
Rochelle Jordan - TTW: This was a pleasant track to listen to. Nice beat, chill bop. 7/10
Rudimental (with Jess Glynne) - Back To Me: It's yet another dance track TM but I do like the production of this one, I can't lie. It feels a bit different than some of the others. It's catchy and fun, especially immediately before the chorus pops off. 8/10
SG Lewis & Shygirl - Sugar: Don't fail me SG Lewis and Shygirl. You can make bops. Hmm, it's a good song. Not really a favourite but it's good. Pleasant to listen to. Nice, chiller energy. Good summer chill bops. 7/10
Sigrid - Jellyfish: Not sure this is what I expected. Weird start. I think I like this? But it's honestly a bit hard to tell. It's definitely not what I expected from Sigrid, that's for sure. I like the piano there. I think I do like the vocals in the background too. Okay, I've decided I like this quite a lot. 8/10
SILICA GEL (feat. Japanese Breakfast) - NamgungFEFERE: Wasn't really expecting this super chill energy but maybe I should have considering the feature. Oh, it became a lot less chill. Enjoyed listening to this. Some really fun production. Vocals are a bit wack in parts but honestly, I didn't mind that. 7/10
Taylor Acorn - Goodbye, Good Riddance: Me talking to the Gracie Abrams song. Oh, this is much better than the Gracie Abrams song. Fun, powerful more shouty rock-ish song. Enjoyed it! 7/10
Tyreece - W.I.P.S (what if people stare): Another request. Keep em coming people. This...has a fun beat to it. But I do not like the vocals with it. It kinda gives generic Drag Race TM music. Production is goood though. 6/10
Victoria Nadine - Cherry: Will this be another Cherry bop? Feels like a kinda generic if good indie pop song so far. Chill bop energy. Did enjoy it, but nothing exceptional about it. Some of the chorus is really quite good though. 7/10
